Hi, my name is Toffee. I'm a Miniature Schnauzer/Toy Poodle mix(Schnoodle) puppy born in May 2023, from a not-so-good breeding situation(puppy mill) in another part of the state.

HANOVER HUMANE WILL ONLY BE ADOPTING ME TO A HOME IN THE RICHMOND, VA-METRO AREA AND COUNTIES ADJACENT TO HANOVER, VA. I WILL NOT BE ADOPTED TO HOMES WITH SMALL CHILDREN. My adoption fee is $350. MY BACKGROUND: As a small puppy, I was not socialized with people, and was confined to a small cage, resulting me being extremely timid and not trusting of humans. In my time here at Hanover Humane I've made a lot of progress and now once I get to know somebody, I become a loveable goof-ball. I like to play with toys and I'm beginning to walk good on leash with a harness. I won't initially go to strangers, but I'm getting to where I’ll eventually relax and let you hold me once I'm picked up. I'm looking for an EXPERIENCED dog owner willing to adopt me and work with me so I can have the life I deserve. While I'm working on my potty training and socialization, I will be a project for whomever adopts me - I'll require a patient owner. I WILL NOT BE ADOPTED TO A HOME WITH SMALL CHILDREN.
On the plus side, I do seem to like other dogs I meet and love to play with them. I'm not crazy about getting bathed, but will tolerate it, but I don't like the groomer.
