Description
Toast is a sweet, smart and obedient boy who is floofy and gorgeous.
Personality
Toast is just a joy. He lays at your feet or puts his head on your lap for pets, and likes to cuddle, be brushed and loved on. He is better than avocado toast, and cinnamon sugar toast! He is a smart good boy who is enthusiastic about life and happy go lucky. He gets along great with other dogs, is crate and house trained, very affectionate, obedient and learns fast. But don't forgot his aesthetic qualities! What a handsome boy and a clean well groomed dog too. Toast is playful, enthusiastic and friendly. He loves to play tag and wrestle with other dogs, chew and tug-o-war with his stuffed toys and lay around on cool floors. He also likes to sit in the sun and stare out at the birds. Toast is in touch with his inner herding breed, as he likes to practice that skill on his doggy brothers in his foster home. Toast is a low maintenance, easy to care for dog, who picks up on routine, rules and learns quickly.
Background
Toast was roaming a Houston neighborhood on New Years day 2023. He was dumped and had been posted on the neighborhood social media pages a few times by different residents. A neighbor's daughter brought him home and fed him. He was hungry and very thin. They took him to the vet to get him scanned for a Microchip- but there was no chip. They got him neutered and vaccinated and reached out to GNAR to help him find a great forever home. He was posted on lost found dog pages, but there were no replies. They contacted several shelters but they were all full so his finders fostered him for many months, before GNAR had room to take him in.
