Meet Tip

He looks so confident in his pictures, sitting up tall, eyes nice and bright. And he is so much more confident than he used to be - but Tip also needs time and calm to understand that you are a safe person for him. Once he gets there, he'll be such a great buddy.
He comes right to you when you call him. Ask him to sit, which he does so well, and then ask him to shake. He's a quick study, this guy. He also walks well on a leash, so you can go take him for a spin whenever you need a breath of fresh air. Tip is great friends with other animals -cats included - and loves to hang out with them. He looks to the dogs around him for cues on how to act in most situations, so he needs a confident dog friend at home. If you have a dog who would like the chance to be a mentor, while also having a great little playmate, that's Tip's idea of a good life too.
Tip is a 1-year-old Havanese mix who is a small dog. His ponytail-like ears give him so much personality, and his curly coat is soft and pretty.
He is a bright dog and likes to chew bones or do puzzle games in his spare time. His intelligence level is also likely why he is scared and shy at first - he learned to be afraid of humans, particularly men, at some point. His foster and trainer (and foster dog siblings) have brought him so very far on this front, but he might not warm up to his new forever people for a while - and probably not the first time he meets them.
Once he knows you, though, as his foster mom has learned, he starts to transform to a different Tip altogether. His crate is his safe place, where he likes to hang out and enjoy treats when you're not around or when he needs a break. He is house trained as well.
Tip is so ready for a fresh start with people who love him from the very start. If you know you're that person, you should apply to adopt him.
