Meet TINKERBELL!

MEET TINKERBELL!

This adorable little Poodle/Terrier mix is named Tinkerbell! She was surrendered to the rescue when her owner moved and then was informed they were no longer allowed to have pets in the home. Tinkerbell's life has been thrown into a tailspin after spending her life in the same home with the same owner before moving and then being surrendered. She's hoping to find a quiet forever home like her previous home where she can spend her days snoozing in the sun and being her person's best little friend.

Tinkerbell was reported to be 22 years old when surrendered but we'd estimate her to be closer to 12-15. She didn't previously live with other pets and is currently in a foster home with other pets. She can be a bit grumpy around them and we think she'd be happiest in a home where she doesn't have to share her space. She does well with her large dog foster brother so if she can't be your one and only, perhaps with a laidback larger dog who doesn't push her around much would be nice. Tinkerbell does well at her grooming appointments and looks so cute with a fresh haircut! She loves to spend time in the yard, snuggling with her foster humans and going for walks in the park.

As it goes with age, Tinkerbell has a bit of arthritis in her backend but is also very spry for an older girl! Once she is cleared for anesthesia, she will have surgery to remove a growth on her hind end and to clean her teeth. Her arthritis and the stress of such recent changes means that she does take a little while to warm up in new situations. If handled more than she'd like to be, she'll give some warning grumbles and nips to let you know she'd like you to stop. Because of this and her affinity for relaxation, we think she'd do best in a home without children. So while it may take a little time for Tinkerbell to settle into her new home, she's worth the wait and will reward you by being your fuzzy little friend!

Tinkerbell is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Interested in adopting her? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
