TIMID TUCKER - CURRENTLY IN BOARD AND TRAIN - WILL BE GOING INTO FOSTER CARE

Sex: Male
Age: approximately 5 years old
Size: small approximately 8 pounds
Health: Good health, vet checked, fully vaccinated including rabies, flea and worm treatments, neutered, microchipped, heart worm tested (negative), full panel bloodwork.


We were contacted by one of our long time supporters, Jenny, asking for help with a dog who has had a terrible life. Apparently, her friend took him from someone as they were taking him to be euthanized. Tucker has been very let down by the very people who were supposed to love him, care for him, teach him. Instead, they mishandled him by being aggressive and abusive. The result of this is Tucker living a life full of fear and when dogs live in fear they either respond by flight or fight. In Tucker's case he is so scared he reacts by lashing out. We can't blame him as what choice did he have.

When we took Tucker to the vet in order for him to receive vaccinations and take blood we had to have him sedated as he would not let anyone touch him. He couldn't even be leashed and had to be transported in a kennel.

Tucker is now in board and train learning that life is good and he doesn't have to worry anymore - he is safe. Jasmine has made remarkable progress with Tucker he can be leashed and she even took the collar that he had been wearing for so long off and changed it up for him as it was dirty and worn. He is learning the basics in a slow and controlled, fear free environment.

Once Tucker has completed his board and train he will be fostered with Jenny with the intention of adoption.
