MEET THETA!
Theta is young but in this young life has had a very hard life. She came from the drug scene her owners were hard into drugs. But if that wasn't bad enough, Theta and her 3 other siblings were locked in a van for months. Tossed food once in awhile, Not walked, not loved.
To us this is abuse and we took the dogs and left. But this has scared the dogs. Spending months in a van, not knowing when your next meal is?
Theta aches for a family, and she thought she found one, we had her adopted into a home with two other dogs and two older kids. Everything was well until the small dog went after her. Both dogs are fine, but we can't allow this so Theta came home even through that family was crying.
Theta in rescue is paired with an adult female her size. They are kenneled together and play together. I do not feed dogs together. Theta does not do well in a kennel, probably because of her time in the van. My kennels are 4x8 but it's a lot for her. Theta eats her food so fast and we spread her food out as to not allow her to get sick.
Theta needs a home that can love her and all of her faults. She wants a home life so bad and a family to adore her. But she may need to be the only dog in the house or a house that has a dog her size and they can be watched carefully. No small dogs and no small kids, Only because she doesn't realize her size. Theta is over the 50 pound mark. The dog she is paired with here is a Husky.
Well adopted I'm told she was a very good girl, so very smart, and was learning lots of tricks. I'm looking for a home that is open to training, and open to understanding her back ground. She spent her puppyhood locked in a van. With three other dogs and she didn't know when she would be fed again.
Theta is now spayed, vaccinated, and micro chipped.
Theta is currently being fostered in Rochester. If you are interested in meeting Theta , you will need to travel to the Foster's location in Rochester.
