A kind, gentle soul who found herself at the shelter after being bred her entire life and then discarded of when she was too old to produce any more babies for the profits of her owners. Despite her cruel past, Thelma is extraordinarily kind, patient, loving and an overall joy to be around. She has been such a quiet, enjoyable house guest since being a part of TLC Animal Rescue. Thelma has integrated into her foster home wonderfully with both male and female pitties. She wags her tail at her foster siblings, sniffs, and then keeps to herself. She has had zero accidents in the house and is crate trained. Thelma would be a perfect dog for a beginner or a family with little to no dog experience. ** Note: Thelma currently has a large mass hanging from her abdomen that we have had a generous donator step up and offer to pay for the surgical removal of. We suspect this mass is due to being a late spay and just a fatty mammary gland tumor, but will see the vet on 11/29 for a pre surgical consultation and have more information on this matter soon. Please do not let this deter you from adopting Thelma!
