Meet Thea
Thea is a Diamond in the Ruff! Check her out here: www.buddydoghs.com/thea or read on below.
Get to know the Diamond:
Thea is an outgoing and fun-loving older gal from Texas looking for her furever home. She was found as a stray before making her way into a foster home, where she was eager to show her appreciation. She gives amazing hugs and kisses!
Despite her age, she's still got plenty of pep in her step and would enjoy an adventure here and there. She forgets her manners when excited, like when meeting new humans, and wants to jump into their arms! Her only "old lady" quality is that she can get a little cranky with chaos, so she would prefer a home in a quiet area and ideally with a fenced-in yard to call her own.
While she has grown insecure around other dogs, she still loves a good chase with a trusted dog pal (if her "chasee" friend is too slow she'll even pause to let them get ahead); her love of chase extends to cats, but she isn't as polite with them so she does need a feline-free home. She would love a doggy sibling, but would prefer they are respectful, sweet, and not too energetic. Also, that they understand that she's bad at introductions and may need some human-guidance to get over her fears.
She is housebroken and leash-trained, although her excitement can lead to some pulling as well. She is both food and attention-motivated so she is eager to keep learning!
Basics:
Age: 7.5 years old
D.O.B.: Approximately May 2016
Weight: 68lbs
Needs:
Experience with dogs required.
Needs an adult-only home.
No apartment-style or multi-family homes.
No dense neighborhoods
Good with patient, respectful, and playful dogs.
Cannot live with small animals, like cats.
Needs a secure fenced-in yard for supervised play and chill time.
No more than 8 hours alone a day; longer would require a potty and exercise break in the middle.
