Hi there!

My name is Tempest, and I’m a sweet, spirited girl ready to find my forever home! We think I'm about 5 years old, and I'm a moyen goldendoodle.

I came to North Paw Rescue from a puppy mill in Ohio as a pregnant mama “to-be.” Just three weeks after arriving at my foster home, I gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies, all of whom are now thriving in their forever homes. With my puppies grown and my spay surgery behind me, it’s finally my turn to find the loving family I deserve.

I’m a 30-pound bundle of affection who loves to snuggle. I’m completely house-trained and get along well with my three canine foster siblings and even the resident cat! I do like to bark a bit—especially at the mini donkeys and chickens outside or just to let everyone know I’m keeping my foster mom safe. After all, I took my role as a protective mama very seriously, and old habits die hard.

Because I spent several years in a puppy mill, I do have a few quirks. I’m very loving with my foster mom, and there’s no place I’d rather be than curled up on her lap. But I struggle to trust men, even though my foster dad has been so patient with me. I’ll let him pet me one moment, but then I find myself barking and growling the next. It’s all noise though—I’ve never been aggressive. I just need time, patience, and understanding.

What I’m really looking for is a kind-hearted lady who wants a loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a devoted snuggle buddy who fits perfectly on your lap and will love you with her whole heart, I might just be the perfect match for you.

Tempest's adoption fee is $600, which includes: her alter, a microchip, her rabies and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.
