Tei Terrier & Schnauzer Mix Long Island City, NY

Tei's picture was first sent to us along with many dogs that have to endure the harsh winter in Korea at outdoor kennel because of lack of indoor kennel space in Asan, Korea. We remember how everything was covered with snow, water being frozen, and even shelter volunteers were having a hard time getting through to get to the shelter last year. BFA USA was going to provide monetary funding to purchase winter clothing and coats for the shelter animals, and some of the dogs that are staying at the kennels were photographed with Tei being one of them. He's barely 16-17 lbs, and we knew he will have a hard time surviving the harsh winter in Korea, so we decide to rescue him out of the shelter and provide him with a forever home. His profile has been up for more than what is normally allowed, and of course, no one wanted him in Korea either. Tei was able to go for a walk when the coat was delivered to the shelter, and you can see how happy he is in the video!! He is a perfect little terrier who is fun and friendly, but just because he is a mixed breed, noone welcomed her as a family in Korea. We assume he still needs to work on potty training, but other than that, he received a clean bill of health from the vet, and all he needs now is a home he can call his own!

We believe people who adopt rescue animals because they are willing to accept a bit of imperfection, and willing to embrace, work/ train and love them no matter what baggage the animal had in the past. It can be challenging, but extremely rewarding. We have seen amazing transformation in our adopted dogs who have been with loving families, and it is our goal to provide all of them with the opportunity. We are at our happiest when we see photos of our adopted animals smile with the new adoptive family, and we hope to find Tei a loving family who would do the same.

*NOTE* We have a 30-mile radius limit from Fairfax, VA for adoption. We require a completed application & home check to adopt. An adoption fee o$500 applies. All dogs are spay/neutered and have all shots prior to adoption. Thank you!
