Meet Teddy Roosevelt!

A spirited eight-and-a-half-year-old Papillon/Cocker Spaniel mix from New York, NY, Teddy is as charming as he is resilient. With his chocolate-brown coat and 8-pound frame, he embodies a brave, independent spirit and a personality that’s equal parts sweet and strong-willed.

Teddy thrives on companionship and is happiest when snuggling under a blanket or resting on your lap. He fills any room with warmth and affection, greeting his loved ones with pure joy. He also loves toys and appreciates the predictability of a steady routine.

Teddy’s high-strung, strong-willed temperament makes him best suited for a quiet, calm home away from city noise and high-energy environments. Noise sensitivity and feeling overwhelmed in unfamiliar or busy settings are part of his personality. He has experienced biting issues when overstimulated or uncomfortable, so his new guardian will need to understand his triggers and support him with patience and care.

Teddy prefers smaller, calm dogs as companions and can be overwhelmed by larger ones.
