Meet Teddy

Teddy is a Yorkshire Terrier. He was found abandoned in an old wire crate and taken to the Animal Shelter. We got Teddy from there and since he was completely matted, shaved him and placed him in a foster home to begin the journey to a new and much better life. He has come a long way since then when he didn't really want to be brushed or anything done to his face. An x-ray shows his trachea has narrowed, but he doesn't show any symptoms of trachea collapse at this time. Teddy is a sweet boy and loves people. He is good with other dogs and cats. Loves to bark when people come to his home and is a great watch dog. Estimated at around 8 years old, but acts much younger. Active and jumps a few feet in the air when he gets excited like dinner time. 6 lbs. Teddy is in a foster home in Wichita, Kansas and will not be shipped. Requirements to adopt Teddy are as follows: His adopter will have to be in the Wichita Metro area or surrounding area; no out-of-state adopters because we need to do a home visit. A secure fenced yard is a must and invisible fences are not acceptable. A veterinarian reference is required showing that your present/past pets are up to date on shots, spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $200.00.
