Sweet Teddy is 2 years old and weighs 15 lbs. He is a Westie Terrier mix.
He was rescued from our local shelter and was very shy at first, but once he decompressed and knew he was safe, he became the happiest, playful little explorer. He's a great companion and loves to be with his person getting as many snuggles as possible.
Teddy will need a home with a secure/fenced yard, overall he is a pretty mellow guy but he does love to do zoomies in the yard or play with his toys, throwing them in the air. If he's not in the mood for playing then he'll be hanging out with his foster watching her garden and supervising yard work.Teddy is very good with other dogs, he enjoys playing with them and gains confidence from the dogs he's around, he will would do best with another dog in the home of similar size and energy.
Teddy will do well in a calmer home with a family who is home often and can give him the companionship he desires. He does get nervous with loud noises and a very busy environment, so please no children under 10 years old. Once you gain Teddy’s trust, you have a devoted friend for life, he wants nothing more than to be loved.

Teddy's foster says:
“Teddy is a confident little terrier. He has that terrier swag. He likes to investigate things and stay busy.
He doesn't have any fear reactivity.
He doesn't like the vacuum, but just leaves the room, he doesn’t hide.
He doesn't seem to mind power tools.
He sometimes can get nervous with loud noises, or be unsure and when he does he will go under the bed, or ask to be held or just find a safe place. He is very cute and he is fun.
People are drawn to his jaunty demeanor, perky ears and soulful eyes.
2 things to keep in mind about Teddy.
1-He gets very car sick, even on short rides. He doesn't like the car, shakes a little when he gets in but even within 10 miles he will throw up.
2- He doesn’t like to give up his toys or treats. This has gotten much better now that he feels confident. Part of it is puppy playing.
He'd like a yard with a good fence because if he sees something, he'll want to investigate.”

Teddy is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and neutered.
