TAYLOR—(ADOPTION PENDING) HOUSETRAINED, ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS, SUPER SWEET, YOUNG POCKET BEAGLE Beagle Holly Springs, MS

TAYLOR, one of our newest little intakes, is a precious, super sweet Beagle girl our vet has estimated to be about 3 years young and weighs only 21 pounds.

She was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan who could not leave her all alone in the middle of a busy state highway so picked her up and took her to her vet to check for a microchip—sadly no chip. And no one stepped up to claim her.

Taylor did not try to run away from the lady and showed zero aggression (did not bite, growl, nip, or bear teeth). She noted Taylor had no obvious injuries but a few ticks, malnutrition and dehydration. Taylor had obviously been on her own for a while.

Taylor did not mind at all the company of one of the lady’s personal dogs as they rode home. After a much needed bath, this Beagle baby was treated to a hardy meal. She was frightened at first but very food motivated.

Taylor is VERY sweet and wants to sleep touching you. She has been submissive around her other dogs. She’s still trying to make sense of all that is happening in her world.

She has been dewormed, placed on monthly preventatives for heartworms and flea/tick, has been spayed and microchipped, and will begin heartworm treatment 10/22/24. Although she is in a wonderful foster home, we would love to find an approved foster-to-adopt home for her to go through heartworm treatment. If so, the foster will be given first priority to adopt this precious Beagle upon successful completion of treatment.

Her foster mom has this to say about Taylor:

“She wants to be where I am. She is super sweet. I’m very impressed. She’s going to be a great dog for someone.”
