Meet Tato
Tato is just about as sweet as he looks. At about 3-years-old, we are working on helping him gain some much needed weight. At 117 lbs, Tato needs to gain about 50 lbs. He is currently on a slow refeeding plan to ensure we keep him healthy.
Tato gets along with just about anyone. A bit shy to start, he warms up and does the typical Great Dane lean. We do think Tato will be best suited in a more quiet home, just his preference.
Tato is not yet neutered and we do need to get him to a healthy weight to do so. Once he is a safe weight, he will be neutered and have Gastropexy surgery. His adoption fee will be $800.
This mellow potato is looking to lounge around and be loved.
We do NOT respond to PetFinder inquires; we only respond to emails sent to adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org regarding adoption inquires.
We never know how quickly a pet will be adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in a pet but want to see them during our shelter open hours prior to filling out an application, we strongly recommend that you email us at adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org before visiting the shelter to ensure they are still there.
Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm, Saturdays, and Sundays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need.
Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
