Hi there! My name is Tanker and I'm an 80-pound mastiff mix looking for my forever home. Even though I'm still just a puppy myself, I've got a big heart and I'm always eager to please. I love my humans and get along well with other dogs - I'm even good with food around them! I love playing with my toys but I'm always up for a nice walk and some good sniffs, too. Because I'm still just a puppy, I'll need a family who can continue to teach me the ways of the world and who can give me the attention and care I need. But if you're looking for a big sweetheart who will always be excited to see you, I'm the one for you! While I'm a big guy, I'm surprisingly not hard to control on walks. I sometimes get a bit excited, but I'm easily corrected and I'll always walk nicely by your side. I sleep well when I'm in my crate, too! The only thing I'm really afraid of is cats - I don't want to hurt them, but I get so excited and I'm just so big! I can't wait to find my forever family!

Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in Milwaukee. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.
