Meet Tank - ADOPTED!
DOB: 7/16/2021
Weight: 21#
Tank was living on a chain in the Houston summer heat with no access to water.
He required full vetting and is now vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, neutered, microchipped with lifetime registration to the rescue. He is heartworm positive and is currently on monthly prevention.
Tank is a handsome young male with a great temperament. He plays great with the other dogs, is good on walks, and great in the car. He's a little shy with new people. But is very food motivated, smart, and eager to please. He's a happy boy that likes to snuggle and will give gentle kisses.
He is ok in the crate and enjoys having clean bedding and sleeping in the air conditioning. He's just healed from his neuter so I haven't tried him free roaming yet.
He would make a great companion for almost any home situation... either as an only dog or with small or big dogs. He's well-tempered and would probably be ok with older kids that are gentle and dog savvy. He would be ok with a house and a private yard or a more communal type setting with leashed potty walks. All around, he's a really great dog and I don't know why his previous owner kept him chained like he was.
If you are interested in adopting, please cut and paste the link below to fill out an adoption application:

After the application is processed and approved, a home visit and meet and greet with the dogs will be scheduled. If there are any fencing issues, make sure that repairs are done prior to the home visit. Typically, the adoption is finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet. Out of area adopters would need to drive/fly in to meet the dogs and adopt.
