This handsome man Swiper arrived to the shelter as a stray and has since become a friend to the shelter staff. Swiper has energy for days and always perks up when someone walks by. We don't know anything about his history prior to his arrival here, but we do know that he can be touchy when it comes to other dogs so he may be selective for a furrever home. Swiper is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, after a positive routine test. His treatment will continue for at least 3 months but don't let that stop you from taking him home today. If you are interested in meeting Swiper, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Complete an adoption application online to be pre-approved for adoption. If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. As always, if you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption. Adoption fees: 6m and younger $250, 7m-5y $200, 6y-10y $150, 11y and older $100. Watch for adoption specials!! His adoption fee covers the cost of his heartworm treatment being done through HSCC.
