Swifty Labrador Retriever Mix Cumming, GA

Swifty is the little girl of her litter, and she can be shy at first, but she is special. She tends to be a quiet observer before jumping into the party, however you can see her happiness once she starts romping with the other dogs. Besides her beautiful markings she has what is called a double dewclaw or an extra toe on the back of both feet. This is typically seen in the Great Pyrenees breed dog, but considering how small she is it is hard to imagine her having such a large dog in her genes. The vet thinks she will be between 40-55lbs making her a nice medium size adult. Swifty is a cuddler and loves to take naps in your arms while you watch TV. She will need a family devoted to her puppy training over the next few months including potty training.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
