Oh, my goodness, what a beautiful, gentle 3 to 4-year-old male dog! Such a sweetheart, and what a smile!. Staff has named him.STAR SPANGLED BANNER, as he came in at the end of June 2024 right before the annual Fourth of July holiday. His breed mix is listed simply as Hound and he has a black and white speckled shorthaired coat. His intake weight was 45 pounds. Thanks to a partnership between UT and the Cumberland County Animal Shelter, STAR SPANGLED BANNER was neutered on Monday, October 21, 2024. As a result, he can go home the same day that he is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to see CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the appointment in case you do decide to adopt this boy. Even better, take a dog crate with you to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
