Meet Star
Meet Star!
Star and her friend Miles were found as strays the week before July 4th. The founders searched for the owners, with no luck and of course we checked for a microchip. The stray hold is now officially up. Unfortunately the area they were found in, animals are dumped quite often, so we feel that’s the case with these 2.
Star is very shy/nervous in the beginning. Once she realizes you mean her no harm, she will lay right next to you (or on you). She is used to having a dog around since Miles was nearby, so a dog friend would be a plus. She is good with cats as well.
She is around 2-3 years old (had several opinions about age, but we went with the 2-3 years. She weighs 13.5 pounds currently.
Star is working on crate training and actually seems to be pad trained. Of course except a few accidents as she adjusts. She will either need a taller/secure fence (preferably a privacy fence), because she can jump over a basic baby gate with ease OR to be leash walked for potty/play breaks. Car rides make her a little nervous and nauseous. She is more of a cuddle on the couch kind of dog anyways!
Star has been dewormed and treated for fleas/ticks (ticks were all over her). She is spayed, updated on all shots,, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and on heartworm prevention. She MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of her life!
The adoption fee for Star is $225 to an approved and loving home. If adopted with her buddy Miles (not required, but we would LOVE), the adoption fee will be lowered to $350. All vet records and her collar will be given to the adopter at the time of adoption.
To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com
*We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.*
The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. We do keep our website and Petfinder updated regularly.
Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply.
Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!
