Stack American Bulldog Mix Maysville, NC

Meet Stack! He is a very sweet 3 year old boy with so much love to give! He was pulled from a shelter's euthanasia list. Although the past history of Stack is unknown, it was very clear he had experienced significant trauma. He came in with an embedded collar and was terrified while at the shelter (as you can see from the first picture). We are grateful that we were able to pull Stack from the shelter to help him find the loving caring home he deserves. He has tested positive for heartworms and is currently undergoing treatment for that. Stack gets along with other dogs and in search for his loving furever home!

Adopter requirements for Stack: Stack is heartworm positive, so whoever adopts him may need to travel to our veterinary clinic for certain appointments until his treatment ends. The rescue pays for these treatments, so it is nothing out of pocket for the adopter.

Vetting: All of our dogs are microchipped and UTD on vaccines: Distemper-Parvo w/Lepto, Bordetella, and Rabies (if age appropriate). They receive monthly flea/heartworm prevention while in our care and receive fecal and heartworm testing. Most of our dogs are de-wormed at least twice unless we receive negative fecal results. They are spayed or neutered or pending a spay or neuter (unless age or a health condition precludes this).

Foster-to-Adopt Program: All of our dogs are available to foster prior to adoption. This means the dog can stay are you now instead of waiting! During this time, Castaways will continue to provide remaining medical vetting and any supplies you might need!
