Squiggles is housedog gold!
This small but mighty little one is a five-month-old Aussie mix weighing in at 20# and isn’t expected to get much bigger – maybe another 5-10#.
She is a happy-go-lucky optimistic little girl who shines cheer, confidence, and an upbeat attitude. Sometimes she’s so over the top cheerful that she may appear naïve but she’s quickly taking notes of her environment and storing that information for use later. She’s entertaining to others and herself without really trying. Squiggles enjoys having an active canine playmate as her circus act partner. She likes to be in the same room with her human but doesn’t need to be on your lap or in your arms often. Not the world’s greatest cuddle bug because she has so much energy that she prefers to not sit still.
Squiggles adapts to nearly everything – fireworks (while she’s inside the house), vacuum, timers on the stove (as well as microwave and phone), television (she loves to watch TV as she’s roaming the house looking for toys) she will remove toys from her canine sisters mouth and then turn around and share that same toy with that same sister) amongst other non-mischievous things), other dogs, different floor surfaces, singing of the dishwasher, and loud beep from the washer and dryer.
Lots of puppy energy but after a few weeks of routine, she settles that energy down at the end of the day nicely. Without hesitation, she enters and sleeps in her crate overnight for 7 hours (not too bad for a 5-month-old puppy!). Potty training is going well; she should be fully potty trained by her adoption date.
Squiggles travels well – pup cups are always welcomed in Squiggles world! People approaching the cars (especially with groceries!) are welcomed and greeted with Squiggle puppy dog eyes and perked ears. She'd give hugs and kisses if she wasn't traveling in a kennel.
Squiggles is small but mighty and is ready to bring her world of sunshine cheer to her new family!
Fence – required.
Kids – respectful age 8+ is acceptable.
Herding dog experience – not required.
Heath – UTD; intact.
Other dogs – active dog(s) in the household required.
Cats – Good with barn cats. No exposure to indoor cats but shows no signs of herding instinct; therefore, probably tolerant of cats.
