Sprite West Highland White Terrier / Westie & Dachshund Mix Brooklyn, NY

Meet Sprite! This 9-10 month old terrier/doxie mix hails from the great state of Texas. She's from a partner that has a tough time with exposure and we brought here here to have the best chance at finding a forever family!

Her foster mom says:
"Sprite is a a cute little 9-10mo old sweetheart who is adjusting well to city life after making her trip up north from Texas.
The basics: she’s mostly potty trained but since she’s still a pup - will be important to keep her on a potty schedule as she adjusts to her new environment.
She’s doing OK on the leash with the occasional skittish moment thanks to a loud truck or motorcycle - but she recovers quickly.
We’re working on alone time here at the apartment as she is showing some signs of snot loving to be apart from her human, but I think with practice and a confident adopter to help show her the ropes she’ll quickly grow out of it.
I don’t have a crate so haven’t been crate training her - but when I have left her alone there hasn’t been any destruction, just tears.

Sprite would do well in a single home or a family or with dog in the house - the best of both worlds! She does loves to be around me though and is my shadow in the apartment so I think she would do really well with someone who works from home or can bring their dog to work (alternatively, another pup at home with her to keep her company would also work!).
She’s great with other dogs -either she ignores them on the street or finds a buddy at the small dog run and plays with them to get some of her zoomies out. She loves chew toys and brain games as well! Her energy level is typical of a puppy - bursts of energy with long naps afterwards.

All in all, Sprite is a sweet, smart, cute, playful little pup who would make anyone very happy. With some additional training, she will make a wonderful companion."
