We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.


Sport, 2 years old, neutered male, Black Mouth Cur/Retriever mix, 70 pounds. He is in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and able to transport out of State once an adopter is approved.

This guy is such a lover who loves BIG. He was saved from euthanasia at a county shelter in Houston. We are so grateful we had a foster home for him! He shares a home with other dogs and has spent time playing at a local dog park. He plays really well with other dogs and is super friendly. The foster home has two small dogs under 30 pounds and he is great with them. He would do great in a home with another dog or would be okay without a dog.

Imagine Sport has a big puppy- he is a little bit awkward as he runs and moves around. He has spurts of energy (zoomies) and then crashes out for awhile. He has no idea he is not a lap dog and would love if you would hold him. He loves his stuffed animals and does not shred them as much as he likes to carry them around. He is such a happy, go lucky boy.

He has meet cats and kittens while they were in carriers at the vet office. He casually sniffed and wagged his tail. We will note, he has not been in a home with a cat, so this is the extent of our information regarding cats. He shares a foster home with kids ages 8-14 years old and LOVES them. They also have friends who come over to visit and he is always excited to say hello. His foster mom describes him as a "big pillow and snuggle buddy."

Sport is learning to not jump out of excitement when first meeting you. He is very smart and learns quickly. He does pull on leash and could use more work in this area. He is fully housebroken and does fine when crated.

Sport is looking for a home who will engage with him- this could be by having another dog or providing outlets physical outlets. He is a curious, attentive and outgoing dog. He is extremely cuddly and affectionate. He rides well in the car and enjoys going places. We hope you give this guy with a huge heart an opportunity to become a part of your family!
