Sperry Boxer & Doberman Pinscher Mix Trenton, ME

Sperry has a very long tail, and that tail wags and wags. She's affectionate and loves to play tug. She's still a fairly young dog at 2.5 yrs old and has plenty of energy to devote to playing. Sperry also knows several tricks already, and we can tell that she would be happy to learn more! She responds well to treats. Sperry has an adorable habit of stomping her feet when she wants your attention.

Sperry already has some great skills that will help her settle into a new home. SHe's housetrained, so she'll likely adjust quickly to the household schedule. She also walks very well on her harness, so taking her for walks/hikes will be fun right from the start.

We've noticed that when things are busy or loud here at the shelter, Sperry can get over-excited and doesn't know what to do. She takes her cues from the people around her, so she is looking for someone who can be a calm, steady presence for her at times when she finds things overwhelming.
