Sparky and Foxy* Cardigan Welsh Corgi Mix Dumont, CO

This is a courtesy listing for Mountain Dog Rescue (newfylove@yahoo.com). Sparky and Foxy are not at the shelter. Sparky and Foxy are a hoot. SUPER sweet, SUPER cute. Very intelligent, very loving. Snuggling love muffins! They've been together forever, so we'd like to adopt them as a pair, but will consider applications on them individually. Sparky is more mellow and bigger and Foxy just wants love. They love kids - doing great with all my dogs.True to their breed, they are on alert to noises and love to chase and bark at squirrels and chipmunks. They got booted out of their last home (in the suburbs) because the neighbors complained of barking. When I picked them up they had bark collars - which I am opposed to. Even though they're cute and snuggly, they were bred to do a job - and Sparky and Foxy feel it is keeping squirrels on alert. Up here in the mountains, they barely bark. But I think in a tight suburban setting, these guys would bark often. Fabulous dogs to only to a fantastic screened home that understands the breed. Pembrokes are very hard-working and loyal. They are usually easily trainable, and have been ranked in 11th place in "the World's Smartest [Dog] Breeds". They function as good watchdogs due to their alertness and tendency to bark. Pembrokes are typically outgoing, friendly dogs. Being a herding dog, Pems are very energetic, especially if without sufficient exercise.
