Sorrell Shepherd & Shar-Pei Mix Evergreen, CO

This girl is an absolute delight to her foster family and we are looking for a family who adores her as much as we do. If there is such a thing as a perfect dog, Sorrel is pretty darn close!. Not only does she have wonderful house manners, Sorrel is great on leash, friendly and engaging with both humans and other dogs and is so well behaved that she gets to go to the brewery with her foster mom and hang out on the patio! Sorrel is smart too and knows several basic commands like sit, and down. Training is her foster families forte and they enjoy teaching their foster dogs manners and tricks! The fact that Sorrel is such an outstanding dog is a testament to her resiliance and true demeanor. You see, she lived on the streets and found a way to survive with her 9 puppies until we rescued her. She lived with an abscessed eye and an injured leg until we saved her. And still Sorrel is happy, and loving and great with people and dogs. She is so much better than anyone could expect her to be. She's an inspiration to me when I think I've had a bad day. She's overcome so much and still such a beautiful soul.

This remarkable girl has transitioned beautifully from life on the streets to a loving foster home and is such an inspiration! Sorrell has a calm and endearing energy that instantly draws you to her sweet demeanor. She adores attention and will happily sit quietly by your side, soaking up the affection. Sorrell's foster mom describes her as a dream and one of the easiest and most ameniable dogs she has fostered. She has absolutely blossomed and you would never know she lived on the streets. We feel like she must have been someone's beloved companion at some point. Despite her time on the streets, Sorrell has impressive house manners and has not had a single accident in the home. She's well-behaved and doesn't get into mischief, making her the perfect addition to any household. Sorrel would enjoy another dog in her home but in the right circumstances she would be happy as an only child. Given her delight with chasing squirrels, we are thinking cats would not be a good match.
