Sophie #36 Black Labrador Retriever Mix Killingworth, CT

Sophie #36 is 1 year old and 60 lbs. She is a very sweet girl who loves attention from humans. She will go up to someone and sit waiting for them to pet her. She loves to run around and play and gets along well with my dogs. She is a good rider. You don't even realize she is there since she is so quiet. Sophie was found stray and in a high kill shelter. August 30, 2024 Update from Sophie's Foster Mom: Sophie is good with cats and submissive to other dogs. She has perfect house manners and sleeps quietly all night in her crate. Loud noises, thunder, and fireworks don’t bother her. She has medium energy and walks nicely with the help of a Harness Lead. Sophie shows no toy or food aggression, takes treats very gently and nose to nose with other dogs. She sits on request and is food motivated and eager to please so she will be a great student to learn some new tricks. Sophie loves to play chase and tumble with other dogs and would love a home with a fenced yard and another young playful dog.

ADOPTION FEES: $495 non-refundable adoption fee for all vet expenses (spay/neuter, shots, etc.) and transportation to ensure your lab gets to you in a safe, professional manner. All fees may be paid using PayPal, cashier's checks, or money orders. Labs4rescue does not accept personal checks for adoption fees. All adopters must pay their Labs4rescue adoption fee prior to the rescue shipping their dog.

Residents of Massachusetts or New Hampshire are required to pay an additional $125 fee, which defrays the cost of their state's mandatory 48 hour isolation and examination by a licensed veterinarian.
