This is sweet Sophia. The goofy girl was out celebrating the snow last month and ended up with a knee injury. Her elderly mom could not afford the required care and was worried she wouldn’t be able to manage her recovery, so opted for euthanasia. Thankfully the kind people at the vet clinic offered to help find someone to take her. That's where Western Australian Shepherd Rescue comes in. We have been keeping Miss Sophia quiet the last couple weeks while awaiting her vet appointment. She will need to be kept quiet for a few weeks after surgery, but her doc is positive she will be good as new after her knee repair. This sweet, silly Aussie wants to know if her forever owner is seeing this. If you are looking to add a precious, middle aged, happy go lucky Aussie to your family, Sophia may be your gal. She's loves people and will eagerly pack around her stuffed baby to show off for you. She plays well with other dogs and is good with cats, although she would chase them if they run. She has a bit of a naughty streak! She is house trained and well behaved. She kennels well but may cry for a bit when left behind. She loves to go in the car and will happily keep it safe while you shop. She looks forward to getting back into fetching and hiking condition. She will need to be kept trim so someone fairly active would be best. She can’t wait to share a lifetime of adventures with her new forever person.

Sophia is 7 years old and would be considered a large mini at 30#. She is apayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
