Meet Sockless

Sockless was put on the shelter's euthanasia list just because he was older (3 years old), larger (67 lbs), and had a lingering cold. None of them good reasons to put a dog down but that's the harsh reality at an over-capacity shelter. Fortunately we met him the day before his "due date" and took him into rescue!

Sockless the epitome of a ride-or-die dog: loyal, loving, never strays from your side even when he's off leash, and will bring you gloves and balls that you lost in the woods 10 years ago (literally)!

He is very affectionate with people and loves other dogs. His favorite outdoor activities include playing fetch, swimming, and hiking. His favorite indoor activities include cuddling on the couch, napping in every room, and doing surgery on his squeaky toys.

Sockless is fostered in Irvington, NY, and is available for adoption anywhere in the US as long as the adopter is willing/able to travel to Irvington or NYC to meet and adopt him. Please apply at https://bit.ly/rosr_adoptnfoster.
