Smidge Chihuahua & Beagle Mix Minneapolis, MN

Let me introduce… Smidge! She may be a lil’ one, but what she lacks in size she makes up for in personality! She will make you laugh with her sparkly and silly personality. She loves to be held but can entertain herself when need be. She’s very respectful of the two older resident dogs and elderly cat. Smidge loves kids and it’s a special treat for her when the neighbors stop by to say hi! We love to be outside together and explore the great outdoors. She stays close by, bouncing around in the grass. She plays hard and rests hard. In fact, she doesn’t even hear me come into the room as she is curled up deep into her burrito bed (will definitely go with her to her forever home!)

Smidge is a special gal. As mentioned above, I would enter her room and she wouldn’t react. I learned quickly that Smidge is deaf. All sorts of things were going through my head about training, etc. and what this would mean for her adopting person/people. There are some definite perks to having a dog that does not react to sound: fireworks, thunder, door bells, other dogs barking. It will take some extra time and patience to work around her special need. Other than that, she is ALL puppy in every other way!

Smidge recently arrived to Minnesota from Kentucky. She is very quiet and enjoys her room with space, food, and all the toys she needs. I think she will be on the smaller size as an adult based on her age/weight. Please, consider Smidge as your new sidekick!

Smidge is estimated to be 9 weeks old and 4 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
