Meet Skyy
Skyy is a 4-year-old, 59-pound sweetheart looking for her forever home! She loves her people, constantly wanting to be where they are. Skyy enjoys cuddles of any form and truly just wants to be your BFF!
MN Winter ain’t got nothing on Skyy – she enjoys going for walks and doesn’t mind the cold too much. Her arthritis in her back legs does not affect her ability to do whatever she wants! She just needs an extra boost to get on the bed to hang out with and be loved by her people – after all, that is her favorite activity!
Skyy enjoys cuddling up to her people each and every day. She loves her arthritis treats that she takes twice a day with kibble and right now, is the perfect weight to keep her mobile and healthy!
Skyy loves gazing out the window people and dog-watching. She only barks if she is physically outside and a car is driving by – she thinks they are too loud, so she is trying to tell the engine to quiet down – how thoughtful!
Skyy is not one to engage in play with other dogs but enjoys co-existing and cuddling with them. She is mildly interested in cats, but for the most part, leaves them alone. But when it comes to humans, wow! She is all about being as close as can be in the form of cuddles, wags and kisses.
Skyy has been loving her Beginning Reactive Dog class at A New Leash! She is doing fantastic and is learning a lot of new things.
Her ideal home would be with someone who enjoys spending time with her, loving life together and have a nice daily routine. Whoever wants a companion to the end, Skyy will love you and never let go!
**Skyy started on medicated treats to help with arthritis and ACL issues in hind legs. Pain and stiffness have not slowed her down. No surgery needed due to compensated muscles per vet. Maintain healthy weight and exercise.**
Her adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.
Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
