Update from R&R volunteer 5/21: Skyler is out on R&R until Sat. with one of our fabulous volunteers who tells us the following about Skyler Noir:
Skyler has been really good and is completely different outside of the kennel environment. She hasn't had a single accident. We have a doggie door. and she loved spending time in the yard. She is still very much a puppy and it can be difficult to get her attention at first, but once you have it she knows "sit" and "lie down." She is at work with my husband today, so will spend the day patrolling the airfield with a bunch of Navy guys. I will be working from home the rest of the week so she will be there with me.

Skyler Noir is a bouncy and playful dog who loves to run and play, getting the zoomies often. She weighs 47 pounds. Skyler enjoyed the time she spent with campers from our Camp Happy Tails, but she will occasionally mouth both hands and feet, so she would not do well In a home with young children. She does take correction well.
Skyler passed her dog test and has done well with other dogs at the shelter. Skyler will chase cats, so she needs to live in a cat free home. She is affectionate and easy to touch and pet. She walks on a leash and pulls forward.

Skyler found tied to a bridge and brought to our Westbank Shelter in June 2018.. She was transferred to the Eastbank when the Westbank Shelter was getting full.
The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter adoption fee is $67. The adoption fee includes vaccinations, mandatory spay/neuter, heartworm test, and microchip.
