SKYE Terrier Mix FLEETWOOD, PA

Skye is a sweet little firecracker that has some abandonment issues and needs some time to warm up to people. This 3 year old 35 lb. pocket pittie was saved from euthanasia at the shelter in Philly, and now is in a board and train facility where she has learned so many new things! This adorable terrier mix needs a home with an experienced patient dog lover who is willing to work with her insecurities and her need to protect her human. Skye knows basic commands, is house trained, and crate trained too! She loves cuddling, playing with her Kong and other chew toys. But she has been abandoned and given away so many times that her biggest fear is losing anyone that shows her love and kindness of any kind.
Skye thrives on attention and wants to be your one and only pet. Her ideal person would be someone willing to work with her and provide the consistency she needs. And, guess what… Sky comes with some training sessions to set her up for success so she can be a pet you can enjoy in for life. Skye knows there just HAS to be someone out there who will want her for their own, and in return, she promises to give you all the love in her heart ??


Surely there must be someone out there who will see this sweet little girl as the diamond in the rough that she is and show her she need not fear being abandoned ever again!

Skye will do best in a home with:

- Patient, adult-only home where someone has experience with training/managing similar behavior issues

- Someone who is home all or most of the time as Skye suffers from separation anxiety when she's away from her person/people

- No other pets (until it can be determined

- Secure fenced yard (ideal/preferred) without other dogs on either immediate side
