Hi, my name is Skippy. I'm considered a Tripaw, whatever that is. Despite missing a leg, I am happy and active and full of love. I like playing with my doggie friends in my foster home but my most favorite activity is snuggling. I enjoy snuggling with my foster mom, dad and friends. I'm about 3 years old and about 30 lbs. I'm neutered, house trained, crate trained, great with people, kids, dogs, cats. I do pretty well on a leash, getting my nails trimmed, and riding in the car. I can be a little vocal so no apartments for me! Besides liking to talk a bit, my foster mom says I'm an all around fantastic dog.

The day my foster mom brought me home after surgery she said my eyes just said "thank you". I had been living, for about 9 months, with a damaged leg after being hit by a car. It was causing me so much pain. My previous owners couldn’t pay for an amputation surgery. They were given the option to surrender to a rescue. That’s when Placing Paws stepped in to help me. They have been my first guardian angel but I’m looking for my second who can provide me a forever home.

ADOPTION FEE: $375.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
