**Please read Sister Dixie's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!**

Meet Sister Dixie - an almost 11 month old, 75 pound, Lab mix who was born on 11/30/23. These pups are your typical playful, spunky, silly puppies who are looking for their forever families. How have these cuties been looking for families for SIX MONTHS already?? Some of these pics are new and some are there original posted pictures 3 months ago.

Their foster shares: "A homeless dog came up to the yard of a kindhearted single mom, who is also the children’s pastor at her church. She started caring for the dog, and quickly found out that she was pregnant. The mama dog gave birth to 7 beautiful puppies. And Sister and Snuggles are the two who still need families.
Sister is the more outgoing of the two and is very affectionate. She has had a few leash lessons and is learning quickly. She enjoys spending time outside on the back porch, and also a good game of tug of war with her sister. She gets along great with other dogs here. She grew up around two small children but have not been around many men. Her favorite treat in the world is an iced oatmeal cookies. She may be big, but she has a heart to match! She is happy, goofy and loving!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
