Meet Sissy
Sissy is a 2 year old Husky mix, around 40lbs. She is incredibly smart, very food motivated, and loves to learn! Her favorite activities are practicing basic obedience, playing fetch, and going for a run in our large fenced yard. Once she gets to know you, she is incredibly sweet with a bubbly personality and is ready for anything! She'd make an excellent hiking or jogging partner. She loves to work and may even be a good candidate for sports like agility or dock diving. A fenced yard is recommended though not required if she has the ability to get her "zoomies" out on a long line.
She can be slow to warm up to new people and needs an adopter willing to give her a chance. She will bark at new people and it would be expected that she would need a few days in her new home to come out of her shell and reveal her true personality.
Sissy is classified as dog selective, but gets along well with most male dogs. Her "best friend" is another female dog here at the rescue, so we will not rule out female dogs entirely. Her ideal doggie housemate would be a male, similarly sized, who loves to wrestle and is not easily offended as she is still learning proper social skills with other dogs. Due to her prey drive, Sissy cannot live in a house with cats or other small animals. Caged animals may be okay depending on setup and the dogs' access to said cage.
** Sissy is not yet spayed but is available on a foster to adopt basis. Adoption will be finalized after her spay in May. **
We are happy to answer any questions about Sissy BY EMAIL (info@rosebudrescue.com), but please be patient with us as the care of our animals will always be our top priority.
If you are interested in adopting Sissy, please see our Adoption Info and fill out an Adoption Application, both of which can be found at rosebudrescue.com/adopt
