Sir Martin Terrier Mix Broussard, LA

Martin is still young and very curious and loves to play-especially with other dogs ! His fur is very soft and he has the most beautiful golden eyes!

He walks on a leash in the back yard once per day where he is very calm and listens well. The only issue is he absolutely loves other dogs (at least mine) and wants to follow them and he can be stubborn if you’re trying to bring him in another direction. I don’t have cats but I can say he loves my dogs.


He is also doggie door trained (after following mine in and out) and hasn’t had any accidents in the house for several days now. I do bring him out several times, but usually he goes out on his own and I follow.

He loves to snuggle in my lap. Sometimes my dogs will go lay in another room or another sofa when they want a time out from him lol and he will lay on me. That’s our quiet time. I love it when he falls asleep and snores in my lap. He snores pretty loud for a little guy, but it’s adorable.


He loves to go fetch a ball, but bringing it back is still a work in progress. He also loves chew toys, chew bones, etc. Those keep him very entertained. He still seems to be getting used to his adult teeth and likes to chew. It helps to re-direct him to chew on his toys/bones.

He is such a good dog and will make someone such a good pet.


I haven’t seen any aggression at all; whether over a treat, food or toy. I feed him separate to be safe though. He also loves the water hose! If you don’t mind him getting wet he’ll play for a long time with you.

We don’t have a lot of visitors, but Martin seems really social in that he loves to be by his furmates and his people. He will follow any of us and sometimes can’t decide if he wants to follow the dogs or the humans.
