Meet Simba, the King of Cuddles!
Hello, I'm Simba, a 6-year-old yellow Lab mix with a heart as big as my love for scritches and cuddles. I adore being around people—if you're in the room, I want to be right there with you!
Confidence in Progress:
My foster family, including my foster sisters, have been helping me build my confidence. I'm ready to be king of everything the light touches—whether it's a cozy blanket or the towels on the floor. I’m making great strides, but I still need a little help with some things, especially when my humans leave. I must have a nice doggie friend or two to keep me company.
I’m housebroken and haven’t caused any mischief while my foster family is out, but being in a crate makes me feel anxious. If you work from home, I’ll be your chill companion all day long!
Playtime and Training:
I love playing tug-of-war and running with my foster sisters, but I think I love snuggling even more. I have tons of energy for play, but my favorite thing is just being by your side. I’m working on my leash manners, and I know a bunch of commands, like “sit,” “down,” "roll-over," and “paw.” I’m still mastering “wait” and “heel,” but I’m getting there!
A Buddy for Life:
I’d thrive in a home with another dog to help me feel more secure. My ideal family would be patient and understanding as I continue to work on my confidence. I promise with a little more time and love, I'll be the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for.
Fun Fact:
I’ve got a bit of a prey drive—bunnies and squirrels beware! I’m practicing my mighty roar and will always let you know if something’s going on outside.
