Meet Agnar! (Previously Sid)

Positives: Agnar is a wonderful little man and has become a total adventure pup with his new foster in Squamish, BC. He loves being outside whether that’s hanging out on the patio, going for walks or adventure, hikes, and chilling in the river. He good on leash and only pulls for a few moments when he’s excited. His current foster has worked with him to be able to go off leash in a trail setting, but this is something that will need to come with time for a new owner. He’s very friendly with both people and dogs. He visits dog parks regularly and does a little howl/bark when he sees new dog friends as he’s excited to meet them.
He was attacked at the dog park in a recent incident and has become a bit of the fun police where he is still friendly, but if things get a bit too rambunctious, he likes to see what’s going on. He loves his people and is always looking for affection, he has this funny trait where he likes to nibble on your arm. He really gets excited when he sees children, but he’s a big goof and isn’t totally aware of his size so we think he would be best with older kids.
He his house and crate trained, but we don’t think he needs to stay in a crate during the day as he is not destructive. He’s also a free grazer and always has his food out with no issue.

Things he needs support on: Agnar has separation anxiety and would need a new owner who is able to support him and work through this challenge. While he is experiencing separation anxiety, he can be a bit of a panic pooper and will sometimes leave a gift at the door when stressed. He’s also a bit of a picky pooper and might require you to spend a bit of extra time with him outside till he finds his perfect spot.
While he’s generally very good with not resource guarding his food and toys, he sometimes shows signs of it every once in a while due to his past. He is a higher energy husky and will need an owner who can give him both mental stimulation and physical exercise.
