Meet Sherman

4 year old Sherman came from a home where he was not treated like a family member. When his humans found out he was diabetic, through no fault of his own, his bags were packed. But Sherman’s motto is “make the best of it”. When he first came to Connecticut from SC, his blood sugar was very high and he certainly did not feel well.
But he was full of nothing but love, kindness and kisses for his new foster mom. His diabetes is now in excellent control with twice per day insulin shots, which is very easy for anyone to administer to him with a little “food bribe”. Sherman loves everyone, people, other dogs, kids and most likely would stay out of the way of a cat. He is house trained, he loves to play fetch, chase the birds from the bird feeder, sleep on the couch pillows, give kisses and follow his favorite person around. He is always happy with an excellent temperament. He barks for the doorbell or a loud noise outside but is not an incessant barker. Sherman is really the perfect dog, he just needs a chance with someone willing to take care of his medical needs. He is not a fan of a crate and would love someone home with him. He is a love!!
