Meet Shep in NJ - Independent, Affectionate & Charming

Meet Shep – a gentleman with a heart of gold! Looking for a companion with smarts, manners, and a touch of regal charm? Look no further than Shep, a handsome guy with an independent yet affectionate spirit. Shep’s house-training is impeccable, and he’s quick to get along with other dogs. True to his breed, he’s a watchful soul, offering calm companionship without being overly needy or vocal. While he’s not the best match for cats (he finds them a bit too interesting), he’ll make an amazing addition to a dog-loving household. Shep’s patience and easy-going demeanor are truly remarkable. Need proof? He calmly let the team remove stitches near his eye—no fuss, no drama, just trust. Whether you’re looking for a loyal hiking buddy or a calm companion at home, Shep’s ready to fill your days with love and devotion!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
