Meet Sheldon - RIP
Sheldon earned his wings 7/2/2024.
He was in rescue with us for almost 10 years. He was adopted and returned 3 times. We loved him even if noone else did.

Sheldon is vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, neutered, microchipped with lifetime registration to the rescue, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm prevention, etc. He just had a dental 4/17/23.
Sheldon had been adopted and then returned through no fault of his own. His dental hygiene had been very neglected in his previous home and he has required a few dentals to get him back into good shape.
He's a bigger sweet boy that is super low maintenance. He's kinda quirky and nervous and would do best in a more quiet home without young children. He gets along in the minpin pack. But he is always eager to kinda be in his own space. He will play with stuffed toys. But otherwise is pretty chill. He likes to sun outside and then come back inside to his crate or sofa. He's definitely not a dog park or doggie daycare dog and he doesn't care too much about pack playing. He likes walks and car rides though and of course snuggling on the sofa with his person. He's not clingy and will entertain himself if you have work to do. He would be great as an only dog or with one or two others. He is more of an "introvert" dog as opposed to an "extrovert" dog.
He is hoping that his furever home is out there and that he will never be neglected again.

After the application is processed and approved, a home visit and meet and greet with the dogs will be scheduled. If there are any fencing issues, make sure that repairs are done prior to the home visit (gaps, rotten boards, low spots, etc). Typically, the adoption is finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet. Out of area adopters would need to drive/fly in to meet the dogs and adopt.
