Shelby Mixed Breed Hawkestone, ON

Shelby is a beautiful 2 year old, mixed breed, female who came to Precious Paws from a remote, northern Ontario, community. When she arrived we found out Shelby was pregnant and shortly after, she gave birth to 8 puppies. Sadly, only 4 of the puppies lived but all 4 of them are doing wonderfully and, now that they are weaned, Shelby is ready to start her new life!

Shelby LOVES people, she's been a superstar doing adoption events and even social time at the local university to assist with mental-health week. She's happy to meet kids and adults alike though she would do best in a home with older children or adults only.

Shelby is currently being fostered in a home with other dogs and cats. She does best with other large breed dogs (she loves to play!) and she would love to find a home with a buddy. A mature, dog-savvy cat, would be okay with her too.

This bouncy girl is housetrained and crate trained, she also walks nicely on leash. She does require a home that will be consistent as she thrives with a bit of structure in her life! Shelby is an excellent walking companion who enjoys exploring the outdoors by your side, an active family would be ideal for her.
