Sheila German Shepherd Dog Suamico, WI

Sheila is a young dog who is said to be friendly and likely undersocialized with dogs. She is headed to foster in early March where we will learn more about her in the upcoming weeks.

Update from foster:
Sheila has been with me for a week now and has pleasantly surprised me on how well behaved and smart she is. She was having accidents in the house for the first couple of days but after being on a more consistent schedule, she has had no more accidents and even alerts me when she has to go outside. I've been practicing a soft introduction with my other dog, Rudy. They are separated but can see, smell, talk to one another from a safe distance. They have had brief, monitored play sessions and do very well together during those sessions. We are exercising caution with the house cats. Sheila is VERY curious about them but does mind her boundaries so far but does need to be closely monitored. She has learned to sit for treats, when I need to attach her leash and when I put her food dish down. We are perfecting "stay" once her food dish is set down before given the go ahead to approach to eat. She has been eating and drinking fine and has had no issues with the brand of food I purchase. Sheila had her 1st vet appt today and did surprisingly well for the vet.
