Shadow is a 2–4 year old lab shepherd mix that weighs 70 lbs. She was found wandering around an orchard in the lower valley. We know that she had a litter of puppies at some point and we recently had her spayed. After gaining our trust, Shadow loves her foster family and others she meets along the way. Shadow is excited to meet other friendly dogs. Shadow loves to go for walks and is doing amazing with leash training. Shadow loves the water and swimming in ponds and lakes. She would love a swimming partner. Such fun! Shadow currently lives in a house with children who are 9 and 11. Shadow has not had any bathroom accidents and seems to be potty trained. Shadow should be in a house without cats as we are not sure how she will react to them given her foster family doesn’t have one.

An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
