Hi, I'm Scrappy, and I'm an adorable 4 month old pit mix!

When the rescue first got word of me, I was dying of parvo and facing a fate of euthanasia. Thankfully, A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue decided to take me on and give me a chance at the good life, and I'm so grateful for that! I've been living the best life in my foster home, but it's time for me to find my forever family.

I love being around people - as soon as I see anyone, my tail wags! I love cuddling and playing with kids, and I'm even comfortable around babies and toddlers. I would love a family that will give me lots of extra love!

I don't have a lot of experience with other dogs but I greet the neighbor dogs at the fence. I would likely do well. I definitely love kitties, though!

For the most part I am potty trained but do have accidents every once in awhile. I'm learning things like sit and give paw. I am crate trained. As for feeding time, I do need a slow feeder as I like to gobble my food! I am a very smart boy and love to do dog puzzles to get out treats.

I do have a minor problem with my heart called aortic stenosis - this is where there is a narrow spot in my aorta, the biggest artery in my body. It is mild and doesn't require medication at this time, but I will need to see a cardiologist once per year until the cardiologist says it's ok to stop. My foster mom can tell you more about this, and it certainly hasn't slowed me down!
