Meet Scout
In May, we received a message from a concerned resident of San Antonio who was asking for help in trapping a stray dog. This dog made his home on one of the empty lots and wouldn't let anyone close enough to touch him. With patience and determination, we finally caught the dog and brought him to SARA. This dog is now named Scout and has undergone quite the transformation since being at our sanctuary! When he arrived, he was terribly thin and shut down, refusing to come out of his cage and cowering from employees. Now he is confident and has become a part of the pack. He enjoys sunbathing out in the grass and playing with the other dogs. He is still a bit shy towards people, but he does welcome attention and wags his tail when he sees us approaching. Scout has been through a lot, but he has a bright future ahead of him. We would love to see this sweet dog find a loving home that will help teach him that leashes are not scary and that most people are kind.
