Meet Savannah
Watch out world, here comes Savannah!
Savannah is estimated to be 1.5 years old and is the sweetest girl around. She is eager to make friends with all the people she meets and is quick to roll over and ask for belly rubs. She is a moderate to high-energy girl who can chill when you're busy and also be your right-hand girl for any adventures. Savannah is fully grown and weighs just over 20lbs.
Savannah originally came to us from a local shelter after she was found as a stray with a fractured leg and pelvis. With the help of the UC Davis Fracture Program, we were able to get her all healed up and she has never looked back. Savannah was adopted from us in May 2024, but unfortunately is looking for a new home as she has turned out to be too much energy for her current family.
Savannah is such a loving girl whose happy place is being with her favorite people. She is such a cuddle bug and is quick to join you on the couch or in bed for some snuggle time. She loves to be doing whatever you are doing, whether that is being a couch potato or racing around at the park. She has been doing great learning her basic manners but is still learning how to be the best girl she can be and will need a family committed to continuing her training.
Savannah loves to play fetch and adores her chew toys. She is a busy girl, so she needs a family who has the time and energy to dedicate to ensure she gets her daily exercise and enrichment.
Savannah has done well with other small dogs and would probably love to have another playful small dog in her new home. She also could do well as an only dog. Savannah has done well living with cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Savannah hasn't had too much experience around kids but may do well with kids 10 years or older.
Savannah is house and crate-trained. She does well hanging out in her crate when home alone and sleeps in there at night.
Savannah is such a darling girl who has been such a loving pup, even with all that she has been through. She is ready for a fresh start by finding her forever family. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!
Savannah's adoption fee is $300.

The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes.
Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption.
